In part two of our two part series, we look at some specific decorating tips and ideas for apartment bedrooms…

Style Pointers

WALLS AND CEILING

Fresh white walls and ceiling reflect the light and create a spacious atmosphere as well as a neutral backdrop for colorful furnishings and accessories.

ACCESSORIES

Framed posters reinforce the blue and white color theme and break up the wall space. A few well-chosen accessories - vases of flowers, bedside candlelamps, and simple knickknacks - add a personal stamp.

SOFT FURNISHINGS

Could Your Bedroom Benefit From Bedroom Closet Organizers?

If you are like most people, then your home is likely to look neat and tidy on the outside, but when you look a little deeper, there will be clutter everywhere. The closet is often the worst abused place in the home for clutter and often it is easier to just throw things into it instead of sorting through and placing things in a nice, organized manner.

Now this lack of organization may not seem like a problem at first, but in fact it can cause extreme stress when you are in a rush and you are trying to find something. So, by organizing your bedroom closet, you are effectively making life a lot simpler for yourself in the long run.

Bunk Bed Ladders - Extra Safety Precautions In Selecting The Right Ladder

It seems that bunk beds are a staple furnishing in any home. They can do wonders in maximizing the floor space of a very small bedroom. The problem is, if you don’t choose the right bunk bed, you may be putting your child’s safety at risk. There have been a lot of reports of accidents resulting from improper set up or manufacturing of bunk beds and it always pays to be very careful in selecting one for your children.

A Healthy Bed Makes For A Healthy Back

The other day, an old friend came to me with a complaint, “I’m working too many hours at the office and my back has been hurting terribly. I tried changing the chair in the office and even putting the computer up on a book so that I wouldn’t arch my neck but the problem persisted. I even started exercising and stretching a bit, but oddly enough there was no effect. I was really stumped, so I went to the doctor and he told me that the problem is most likely my bed. I admit, I’ve had the same bed for 10 years and it’s definitely time to get a new one. The doc says I need something comfortable but firm. I went to the furniture store but couldn’t decide upon what to get, there were so many varieties. So, I need a bit of advice, what sort of bed should I get?”
